ACT Readiness Tools

  • Students! There is an excellent resource availabe to students in the area with an organization called CLASS101. They offer ACT Prep courses, free ACT Practice tests, and more! Here are a few of their events coming up: 


    Correspondence Writing Class (Thursday, October 22nd 6:30-8:30 pm)

    In this age of texting and emojis, many high school students find writing a proper email or letter to be foreign.

    Our Correspondence Writing Class is free to students already enrolled in our Class 101 College Planning Program and available for $75 for students not currently enrolled. This event is open to all students who need to learn how to:

    • Write an official letter to a college admission officer, scholarship board, or a letter asking for a recommendation
    • Write a job or internship cover letter
    • Write a professional email to an employer, teacher, or college professor

    FREE Practice ACT Test (Saturday, October 24th 9am-12:30 pm)

    Why take a practice ACT test?

    Juniors, practice to get ready for your official ACT test.

    Freshmen and Sophomores, get a baseline score.  Everyone will learn about their strengths and areas of potential improvement!

    A detailed report will be provided by individual appointment with student and parent(s) during the week following the test.

    To ensure students' safety, in-person testing will be limited to 8 attendees, masks are required and students will be spaced a minimum of 6' apart. Surfaces and restrooms will be thoroughly sanitized prior to students' arrival and masks will be required for all attendees and staff.

    FREE Webinar - Getting Started: Planning for College in High School

    This webinar will provide guidance for parents and students on what to do and when to do it, explore careers/majors, take advantage of and seek out leadership opportunities, what classes to take in high school to prepare for college and how extra-curricular activities play a part in developing a strong college resume.     4 Week ACT Prep Class (Sundays, beginning November 1st)

    This four week prep course is geared to help students better understand the layout of the ACT. This course is broken down to focus on one subject at a time. Their program states that a point increase of 3.1 is their company's average. The four-week long course costs $399, and more details/registration can be found here
