Happy Thanksgiving!
  • We will be attending a full day tomorrow, Tuesday, the 20th.  Thanksgiving break is Nov. 21st-23rd.  School will resume on Monday, November 26th. 

     It is very important for the children to wear their winter coats.  Please make sure to put their names on their coats/jackets.  We must plan for the unexpected…a bus breakdown, an emergency in which we would need to go outside, waiting outside during dismissal, etc.  Please plan for these times and insist your child wear their warm coat…even if they don’t want to.

    The Billings annual Senior Citizen Luncheon is Wednesday, Dec. 5th, at noon.  Please help us spread the word.  If you have any questions feel free to call 744-2551.

    The Shoe Box for Soldiers:  You can send in the items with your child and we will put them in their classes shoe box.  Due date to have all the items in by:  Dec. 5th.



    Shoe Box For Soldiers


    Thank you for taking part in Shoebox for Soldiers. 

    We have a list of some suggested items:


    Healthcare:  Body Lotion, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Band-Aids, Surgical Tape, Gauze, Tylenol, Tums, Allergy/Cold Medicine, Gold Bond Foot Powder, Lotriman Ultra, Baby Wipes, Sun Block, Chapstick, Deodorant, Razors, Eye-Drops, Ben Gay, Icy Hot, Q-Tips (Also consider putting together a supply box for a female soldier)  NO GLASS OR AEROSOL PER POSTAL REGULATIONS


    Snacks:  Beef Jerky, Dried-Fruit, Pop-Tarts, Hard Candy, Mixed Nuts, Granola Bars, Fruit Roll-Ups, Ramen Noodles, Tuna in a Pouch, Gum, Mints, Powdered Drink Mixes, Water Flavor Enhancers, Nonperishable Food Items.  NO GLASS, HOMEMADE ITEMS OR PORK PRODUCTS PER CUSTOMS REGULATIONS

    Morale and Supply:  AA and AAA batteries, Board Games, Word-Search Books, Sudoku Puzzles, CD’s, DVD’s, Pens and Pencils, Handheld Games, Duct Tape, Electrical Tape, Super Glue, Flip-Flops, White Socks, Hats, Gloves, and Blankets.


    Include a “Thank You” card in the box.

    We encourage a personal letter or simple thank you card as a great way to let our troops know we are thinking about them and appreciate their service.

    Please note the new attendance policy below located in the handbook in regards to extracurricular activities and field trips.

    ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE AN ATTENDANCE PERCENTAGE OF 90% OR HIGHER TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITY. THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO CLUBS (ARCHERY AND STUDENT AIR RIFLE) AND FIELD TRIPS. Attendance checks will occur at the beginning of the quarter, mid-quarter, and at the end of the quarter.  Please understand that any absences early in the year makes a larger impact on overall attendance, simply from fewer days yet in session. At those times, any student with an attendance percentage lower than 90%, will be allowed to practice but not compete at any competition until the next attendance check..  For field trips, attendance will be checked the day prior to the trip to notify any students they will not be attending.

    *Morning drop-off– we use one lane only; the first car in line should pull up to the brick sidewalk to let your child out; only let your child out of the car if you are the first or second car (safety reasons); let your child out on the sidewalk side of the car; never pass the cars in front of you (we will keep the line moving as quickly as possible)

    *If you need to come into the building, please park in a parking place

    *Preschool noon drop-offs – we use one lane only; let your child out on the sidewalk side of the car

    *Afternoon dismissal – if parents are not picking your child up in the car line, you will need to meet them in the gym.  It is not safe to be watching children going to cars and trying to watch who is picking up students otherwise.  Please meet your child at the gym


    Thank you for letting us know about any changes in transportation as early as possible in the day.
