ABOUT ME:

My name is Dawn Moore. I have been a Registered Nurse for 30 years and here at Billings for 16 years. My experience has been in Cardiac, Same Day Surgery, and the County Health Department.

My kids all went and are graduates of Billings. Cody Moore, Hayley and Ethan Mooneyham and Mikayla Moore. I also have a granddaughter, Parker Mae Mooneyham who eventually will be a Billings student as well.

I enjoy watching baseball, softball, bastketball and volleyball. I am an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

When I graduated nursing school, the last thing I wanted to do was work with Pediatrics, but look where I have been for the past 16 years! I really enjoy being here at Billings. I consider every student as one of my own kids!

Vision and Hearing Screenings

vision and hearing

Vision and/or hearing difficulties are oftentime a barrier for a child and learning. Many times with screenings these issues are found and further assistance can be given so that all students can be successful in school.

All routine screenings can be declined by a parent/guardian.  Please make contact with the nurse if you wish to decline or opt-out of screenings.

Is it okay for my child to go to school today?

The answer is "NO" if they have any of the following symptoms or contagious illnesses/diseases. If you are unsure, it is always best to call your doctor's office or contact the school nurse.

  • Pain from earache, headache, sore throat, or recent injury.

  • Yellow or green drainage from the eye(s).

  • Head lice or scabies.

  • A new rash – Not all rashes mean your child must stay home from school. Check with their doctor or health care provider.
