Meetings - Participation by Public-The Board is very interested in citizen viewpoints and concerns; however, citizens are encouraged to work through problems at the building and/or administrative levels before coming to the Board. Persons who wish to suggest items for the agenda should contact the Superintendent at least 24 hours prior to the board meeting to be placed on the agenda.

Addressing the Board about individual students or staff members is inappropriate. Such concerns should be directed to the appropriate administrative supervisor.  A public comment time has been added to our meetings.

Regular monthly board meetings are scheduled for the 4th Wednesday of each month at 6:30 in the school board, RM# 224, unless a change is posted.

Billings R-IV CSIP (Comprehensive School Improvement Plan) 2023-2026

BILLINGS SCHOOL ANNUAL PERFORMANCE INFORMATION

Dear Billings Community,

The 2023-2024 District Annual Performance Report has been released. I have attached a link to the current Billings School APR as well as our historical reports. As a district our top priorities are teaching, learning and student achievement. The Annual Performance Report (APR) provides each district insight on how their students are performing. The 2023-2024 Elementary APR was 43.1%, and JH/HS was 68.9%, for a total percentage of 61.9% This is a much lower percentage than all of our previous years.

As we review the 2023-2024 APR data, we will share successes and address our challenges. This report includes performance metrics, test results from last May, and continuous improvement metrics. We are committed to using this data to identify needed growth opportunities, and to provide quality checks that ensure all data is uploaded correctly. As we continue this process, we appreciate the collaboration and input from all of our stakeholders. A special Board meeting has been scheduled for 6:30 pm on December 11, 2024, to begin looking at our 2023- 2024 data. As always, our patrons are welcome! Additionally, our faculty will be reviewing the detailed APR, including grade level data on their next Professional Development Day, December 16, 2024.

The Mission of the Billings School District is to provide a student-centered experience guaranteeing our graduates are prepared to meet life’s challenges, and that every student receives a high-quality education. We are committed to using this data to improve our performance. Thank you for your continued support of our school.
