August 17th - Open House - Chromebook Checkout and Handbook Distribution
7th-9th grade supply lists are attached below. Supply lists also available through Walmart by searching "Billings Elementary". Supplies for 10th-12th graders will be given by the teacher of each specific class.




Just a reminder that administration will prepare opening of the FEMA building on a tornado watch, and the FEMA building will be open on a tornado warning.

Summer school breakfast and lunch will be served free of charge at Billings School District under the SSO program for all individuals 18 years of age and younger. Individuals need not be enrolled in summer school to participate. Students enrolled in summer school will eat breakfast and lunch (free of charge) with their summer school class.
For students not enrolled in summer school, the following guidelines will be followed:
• Children need to be accompanied by an adult.
• Meals will be served in the Elementary Cafeteria and must be consumed on campus.
• Adults transporting non-enrolled children will park in the front lot and check in at the central office.
• Breakfast will be served from 7:30-7.55
• Lunch will be served from 11:15-12.:50

Summer School Dates and Info
May 31st - June 23rd (18 Days). Summer School is Monday-Friday from 8:00-3:00pm. Breakfast will be served at 7:30 am.

Reminder: The Billings FEMA building opens on a tornado warning.

In an effort to help all our students learn about post high school opportunities, Mrs. Datema planned and organized a Career Day event on April 6 with 14 guest speakers, representing all six Career Pathways. All students from grades 7-12 attended four different sessions and it was a great opportunity for students to learn about potential careers!


Art I, Art II, Art III, and Graphic Design attended a field trip to Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. The students participated in a guided tour where they discussed several pieces of art and viewed many more. They even had the opportunity to experience the Infinity Mirrored Room- My Heart is Dancing into the Universe, by Yayoi Kusama.


The Billings High School Band Spring Concert is Friday, April 14th. The concert will begin at 6:30pm in the Billings High School Gymnasium. All are invited to see this year's concert!


All activities have been canceled for tonight, due to the weather forecast. All practices will be finished by 5:30 pm.

Billings High School Prom 2023 is April 15th, 2023 at 7:00pm-11:00pm at the Hammons' Tower Club - University Plaza Hotel.
Students can purchase their tickets until Friday, April 14th, 2023. Tickets will be $35.00 until April 11th, then the price will increase to $45.00. Tickets can be bought in the lunchroom during lunch. Billings Seniors are not charged. Billings Senior guests are charged the fee.
Students who wish to bring a guest from a different school need to complete a 'Guest Form" in the Billings High School Office. "Guest Forms" need to be completed by April 12th and turned into the high school office.


Art Club students made mosaics at Art Zone and participated in some of the Sculpture Walk in Downtown Springfield.

The 7th grade Art class spent the morning drawing landscapes from observation and critiquing artwork at the Springfield Art Museum this afternoon.


Four BHS students participated in the Crowder College Business Contest on Wednesday March 29. Each student participated in two events earning awards as follows:
Noah Coble: 3rd place business math
Grant Heimer: 2nd place accounting, 2nd place business math
Dylan Schafer: 3rd place business communication, 3rd place impromptu speaking
Division I Trophy for Business Math
